Subject: Trails DMP Letter and
Results of AHYMO Model with no Orifice Plates
Curtis and
Greg,
Attached are summary
file of the AHYMO run with no orifice plates and a letter summarizing the
results. By removing the orifice plates the 2 upstream ponds are way
under-utilized and the downstream ponds exceed capacity. Also eliminating the
orifice plates results in surcharging the storm drains downstream of the ponds
causing storm water to spill into the streets through the inlets and manholes.
So, orifice plates are required. Using orifice plates follows the intent of the
previous Wilson & Company Trails DMP, which was the basis for the design of
the current infrastructure.
